Please note: this is an old, deprecated version of seinberg.net. I will keep it here more or less indefinitely, but please excuse the looks and lack of artistry in many of the older photographs!

Here are some photos I've taken over the past few years. They're very roughly in chronological order from newest to oldest, but that's pretty unreliable. The later the photos the better, as a general rule.

I've tried to only include photos that are 1) show some sort of beauty, 2) humorous, or 3) of importance geographically or personally or perhaps philosophically. Sometimes (okay, more than sometimes) there are extraneous unimportant things included.

I largely used the following cameras to take the pictures:
Canon S300 (2.1 megapixel)
Canon S230 (3.2 megapixel)
Canon S50 (5 megapixel)
Canon Rebel XT (8 megapixel DSLR)

Hampden
My neighborhood in Baltimore. It's called Hampden and it's hipper than a pregnant woman. I went around taking pictures of various things in the neighborhood on March 19th, 2006.

Light Painting
This is my first attempt at painting with light. It's pretty crude -- it's really difficult to control how you're 'painting'. I'd like to do some more sophisticated stuff in the future. For instance framing a picture on the wall with Light or writing a letter with light. Really, the possibilities are endless; except when one's painting abilities are taxed to their maximum capacity...ahem.

Bedroom and Basement
A few pictures I took of the bedroom and basement in my new house.

House
These are various photos from my new (106-year-old-) house. Obviously they were taken before I moved in.

Camping
Camping at Tucuan Campground in Lancaster, PA. August 27/28 2005.

DC
Short day trip to Washington, DC on August 25th, 2005. The Washington Monument, WW2 memorial, and the Lincoln memorial, basically.
Europe
Two week trip to Eastern Europe with Christen. Flew into Dresden; train to Prague; train to Krakow, where we also took a day trip to Auschwitz; and finally took a train to Warsaw.

Asylum
From what I'm told, this place used to be some sort of asylum. I like thinking of it that way, so I've adopted the Orwellian line of thinking and that's now officially what it was. Some pretty neat stuff here.

Baltimore
Pictures from around the Mount Vernon district of Baltimore, MD.

Shjona
Pictures of my newborn niece, Shjona.

Lumberton
Lumberton, NC in late Febrary 2005. Lumberton is where David Lynch filmed Blue Velvet so it was the perfect dorked out place to go on a road trip.

Baltimore Apartment
Pictures from my new apartment in Baltimore.

Dads 50th
Pictures from Dad's 50th birthday party.

9-11-2004
Pictures I took around Three Mile Island (the nuclear power plant that nearly blew up in central Pennsylvania in 1979) on September 11th, 2004. (Okay, so it was a bad day to e taking pictures around a nuclear power plant!)

Harrisburg at Night
Here are some pictures in Harrisburg at night. Mostly of the skyline (however small that may be) and the capitol building.

Harrisburg Bridges
Some bridges at night on Front Street in Harrisburg.

    Austin, TX
    Socorro, NM
    Flagstaff, AZ
    Las Vegas, NV
    Los Angeles, CA
    Oakland, CA
    San Francisco, CA

Russia
Trip to Russia in January, 2004. We stayed in Moscow for 1 week, then took an overnight train to St. Petersburg and stayed there for another week.

Yes, it was cold. But not as cold as Russian-winter-stereotypes hold it to be.

Casey
Joe, Casey, and me in Philly. Mostly pictures of Casey...

Chemical Plant
An abandonded chemical plant in Manheim, PA.
Abandoned Warehouse
An abandoned warehouse, a neat bridge, and some old car parts.
Chickies
Chickies Rock in Columbia, PA. (5-8-2004)
Lancaster County Park
Some photographs of an "off-limits" area in Lancaster County Park. Also a sunset.
